Welcome to Fall Gather...
Plants, People, Resiliency
September 7 - 10, 2018, Black Oak Ranch
Laytonvillle, Mendocino Co.
In this time of uncertainty, it is good to ground yourself in ways that we human beings have always done; make something, sit around with good friends, make new friends, eat good food...
Laugh. Love. Learn.
We invite you to join us at Fall Gather to connect with spirit, with friends old and new, to sing, to dance, to laugh, to love. Join us.
Welcome to Fall Gather
This Gathering is based upon the very successful and fulfilling Northern California Women’s Herbal Symposium. It is held at the same place, the structure of the event is held in much the same way. It’s the same crew, same delicious food, same staff, same organizer.
What IS different you might ask? This is an ALL-INCLUSIVE gathering. We have been asked for many years to do a weekend where all could attend. We were approached by the folks at Black Oak Ranch about once again, considering adding a weekend and making it all inclusive. We said yes. It feels like it is the right time to unite.
“This new event, Fall Gather, has been brewing for many years. I think of the young boys who have "graduated' from us and I think of your men partners, I think of my brothers, and I want them to experience a small slice of what we do when We gather. I know it will be its own being, and I welcome that but I do feel this desire for us to meet and gather and to bring all our loved ones together.” —Karen Aguiar
Join us for this all-inclusive gathering held under the ancient oaks, Douglas firs, and bay trees of Northern California. Our main gathering area is encircled by eighteen tipis with a large fire pit in the center. All classes are held sitting on the ground under these majestic trees, or under shade tarps that we have set-up. At night we camp together, either in the tipis or in tents that we each bring, or underneath the night sky.
During the days, we are a gathering of all who love studying, teaching, learning, networking, and talking about plants, healing, and healthy – Resilient lifestyles. When the sun goes down we become a playful and celebratory group, chatting, chanting, singing, showing off our talents, drumming and dancing into the night around the campfire.
We are a group of many, who will gather to learn from each other, to nurture and nourish each other, to take a break from our daily lives, to regenerate, refresh, dance, frolic, talk plants, and most of all, to have a REALLY GOOD THYME together!
ASL interpretation is available upon request with advanced notice.
